Due to the success of our recent Urgent Care program launch, Valley Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center , located in Winchester, Virginia, is looking to hire a 3rd full time Urgent Care Veterinarian, although part time will also be considered. Our Urgent Care Veterinarians focus on non-critical cases that enter the emergency department. We are interested in speaking to internship trained and experienced GP or ER clinicians, and willing to mentor the right candidate.
Are you a GP vet who’s tired of the daily caseload of vaccines and wellness visits, but not quite comfortable tackling the most critical emergencies? Or are you an emergency doctor wanting off overnights but still wanting to see a wide variety of cases? This position will include care and services of non-critical emergencies, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, limping, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. The proposed full-time schedule will consist of three 10a-10p, 12p-12a, or 2p-2a shifts per week. Must be available to work some weekdays and alternating weekends.
Our 13,000 sq ft facility includes 6 exam rooms, 3 surgical suites, and a state-of-the-art ICU. We have a full array of diagnostic tools (including digital x-ray, 2 new ultrasounds, endoscopy, and complete in house lab) and extremely skilled support staff, including 11 full time LVTs, which enables our doctors to provide the highest quality medicine.
With this position, you’ll find a competitive benefits package including 401(k), CE, Health and Dental, Life, Disability and Professional Liability Insurance, professional dues and memberships, as well as a moving stipend.
