South Sioux Animal Hospital was founded over 50 years ago, and while we honor our past, we're always looking to the future and staying current on the trends in vet med. Here are just a few things that set us apart from others: We built a brand new, spacious clinic in 2020. We are not corporate owned; practice medicine how YOU want to practice! No production quotas. Doctors collaborate on cases; there's no competition. We welcome new grads and are happy to provide whatever level of mentorship that YOU want/need. We promote a positive workspace and have an emotional intelligence consultant who helps with this and leadership training for our doctors. We have weekly doctor lunches to go over cases and just chat. We have morning all-staff rounds so everyone is on the same page. 30-minute appointments. Having children is not considered a burden but is celebrated. 1-hour lunches. All staff has Fear Free training. No cat declaw procedures. Come check us out and let's chat!

We're a 2-doctor general practice looking for a 3rd general practitioner. Responsibilities are what you’d expect: wellness care, sick pet diagnostics and treatment, dentistry and soft tissue surgery, with patient well-being at the center of all we do. We welcome any interest in doing more orthopedic surgery. There are on call responsibilities after-hours, weekends and holidays, but these would be split evenly amongst 6 doctors (it's really not too bad, honest!); you will also be assigned an assistant or tech to be on call with you, so never have to come in alone. We welcome new grads and are happy to provide mentorship to the degree that you want or need. This includes but is not limited to shadowing doctors until you're ready to see cases on your own, starting with wellness/vaccine visits and gradually working up to sick-pet visits, assistance in surgery until you feel comfortable, weekly doctors' lunch to discuss cases and concerns, and whatever else you need. And we won't dump you in the deep end with on call; we'll help you learn the ropes and be available as back-ups as long as you need! We want to see you succeed.
