We are a small practice with a big heart! South River Vet in the heart of the Irish Riviera on Boston's South Shore is looking for an associate veterinarian to join our fast paced independently owned and operated small animal exclusive veterinary hospital. 3 is the magic number and having 3 DVM's on staff allows for time with family, vacations, and a work life balance while maintaining the family practice mentality that is the heart and soul of veterinary medicine and has become elusive and difficult to find. A wide variety of clinical and surgical case load will appeal to those with multiple interests. 2021 Best of the South Shore Winner. Experience preferred but new graduates welcome to apply. Hours and schedule are flexible. Ideal candidate interested in a full time position, approximately 32 hours per week with 1-2 surgery days. We are a modern facility that focuses on traditional values of patient and client care. Our traditional values allow us to know our patients from the first moments they become part of the family through their senior years. Our clientele is generational and we are looking for the right veterinarian who appreciates what makes the human animal bond so special and is looking for a traditional practice environment with case collaboration and a team approach to every individuals care. Our facility has a full in house idexx lab, digital x-ray with on call radiologists for interpretation, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, modern balanced anesthesia with EKG,SpO2,EtCO2,NIBP, Complete dental suite, Electrocautery, Class IV Companion Therapy Laser, and many other toys that make medicine fun and benefit those in our care. Quality patient care in a modern comfortable environment. No after hour emergencies or on call and a well trained dedicated support staff. We do things for our patients and not to them and focus on improving each individuals quality of life as our primary concern. High quality medicine with a patient focus and not the bottom line. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and empathy. Surgical and medical skills as well as a common sense approach towards the care of our patients. Willing to mentor the right new grad.
