Founded in 1905, West Orange Animal Hospital is a companion animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary medical care for over 110 years. In 2016, our hospital underwent a complete reconstruction designed to meet AAHA certification - including a state of the art surgical suite, complete in-house laboratory including blood analyzer and is equipped with computerized and fully integrated medical records (rads, lab...are attached to pet records), digital radiography and ultrasound. We employ a pleasant support staff - most of whom have been with us for many years - and enjoy a comfortable pace with time to interact with clients. Our veterinarians are experienced in complex surgical and dental procedures and have the ability to perform ultrasounds and echocardiograms- in keeping up with the latest in medical technology. We provide cutting edge digital radiography as well as dental radiography and possess the latest monitoring equipment for those undergoing general anesthesia. We pride ourselves on practicing the highest quality medicine and providing compassionate care to our patients.

West Orange Animal Hospital is located in Essex County, NJ and currently has 4 Veterinarians and is seeking a 5th. We are Situated in Suburban Essex County, surrounded by golf courses, South Mountain Reservation and Turtle Back Zoo. The hospital is 15 minutes from downtown Montclair and Newark and 25 minutes from Hoboken and NYC - our clientele is very diverse and appreciative. There are no after hour responsibilities; emergencies are referred to a local emergency clinic and Saturday morning appointments are shared. Prior to the COVID Pandemic we saw appointments until 7:00 M/TH; 5:00 T/F; and 1:00 on Wed and Sat. Currently we see appointments from 9:00 until 5:00 - except Saturday - which is 1:00. We are practicing non-contact appointments - the client and pet wait in the parking lot until a technician brings the pet into the building. Owners and Veterinarians communicate exclusively via telephone.
