Best Friends Animal Hospital in Talent, Oregon is a busy, family owned small animal general practice, looking for another veterinarian (full time or part time) to help grow our practice. Talent is located in the scenic Rogue Valley surrounded by national forest, just north of the California border and only a couple hours from the Oregon coast. There is skiing, endless hiking, fishing, and camping just a short drive away!

We strive to provide compassionate and quality veterinary care for all our patients. In order to help us do so we have extensive on site diagnostics to help provide efficient diagnoses. These equipment include Idexx: procyte CBC, catalyst chemistry analyzer, sedivue and coagulation instruments. Our practice is equipped with in house digital radiography for routine small animal and dental studies. There are mobile ultrasound specialists in the area who we work with routinely for advanced studies, but also have in house access to ultrasonography for screening diagnostics and sample collection.

Our schedule is 25% surgical/dental and 75% routine preventative health and sick patient exams. Typical appointments are given 30 minutes. Full-time doctors work 4 days per week which may include seasonal Saturdays.

*We do not take on-call shifts or host emergency hours, as there is a 24/7 referral hospital 20 minutes from our facility.

Benefits include insurance with optional dental/vision, 401k plan, and PTO. Licensing fees are paid for and a CE stipend of $1,000 per year is provided. Salary is based on experience. Preference would be given to an experienced practitioner comfortable with both surgical and medical triage/case management. A well-qualified recent graduate would also be considered.
