This is a hands on externship experience. Externs will assist the veterinarians with diagnosis and treatment of outpatients, surgeries and emergencies. Also assist with the daily care, feeding and treatment of in hospital patients. Participate in rounds and case discussions when they are held. Also will use cadavers to demonstrate joint injections, surgeries etc when time and materials are available.

Most students stay 2 to 4 weeks but any time frame is acceptable. Bring your stethescope, enthusiasm and  curiosisty with you and expect to get dirty.
