We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. As a veterinarian in our new state of the art hospital (opened on June 20, 2025) you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care and surgical care to a variety of companion animals.
-Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries
- Develop and implement treatment plans for companion animals based on their conditions
- Train to perform or perform surgical procedures, such as spaying/neutering, pyometras, tumor removals, eye enucleations,
- Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat diseases
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and grooming
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education ```Requirements```
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school - Valid NC state veterinary license within 1 year
- Proficiency in animal catheterization, animal restraint, and general animal care techniques.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate pet owners
- Ability to handle dogs and other animals with care and compassion
- Knowledge of practice management software Clinic HQ is preferred, but not required

Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in shelter, non-profit, emergency or private practice setting; Willingness to learn and grow with a new start-up hospital; ability to work & thrive in a fast-paced environment; desire to improve the lives of our area's most vulnerable animals and owners. Have surgical training or be enthusiastic about surgical training under a Medical Director with 40+ years of surgical experience; willingness to relocate to the greater Charlotte, N.C. area.
