Your Impact as a Veterinary Anesthesiologist at CVETS
As a Veterinary Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort across a wide range of procedures. You'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional anesthetic care for everything from routine surgeries to complex critical cases.
Here's how you'll make a difference:
Lead Anesthetic Care: Take charge of developing and implementing anesthesia plans for a diverse caseload, including advanced and complex cases. The anesthesiologist provides support for five surgeons, two neurosurgeons, and three internal medicine doctors. Additionally, they work as a liaison with our critical care service for complex cases.
Seamless Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our on-site board-certified specialists (including Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, and more!) to provide unparalleled support and advanced patient management.

Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina (or eligibility for licensure).
Board certification in Veterinary Anesthesiology, or completion of an Anesthesiology residency, and eligibility to sit for the boards.
Excellent clinical skills in veterinary anesthesia and pain management.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and colleagues.
Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality and timely patient care.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records.
Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and efficiency.
Preferred (considered a plus):
Experience working in a high-volume emergency or referral hospital.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
