Rescue One, a foster-based rescue in Springfield, MO, is seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our team! This role focuses on providing veterinary care for animals in our rescue, including surgical services, medical treatment, and diagnosis to prepare them for adoption. We do offer some outreach services to the public on a case-by-case basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

Examine, diagnose, and treat animals to ensure health and readiness for adoption.
Perform spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats.
Exploratory, amputation, cherry eye repair, and other surgeries as needed.
Deliver excellent pre- and post-operative care.
Maintain detailed, timely, and accurate medical records through our rescue’s system.
Communicate effectively with staff, fosters, and volunteers, contributing to a team-focused environment.
Be flexible and responsive to emergency cases and appointment adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Valid Missouri veterinary license.
DEA and BNDD licenses (or ability to obtain).
Shelter medicine experience is a plus but not required.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Schedule:

Day shifts, typically Monday–Thursday 
One weekend day per month for 3 hours (required).

Requirements
