How We Support You
- We give you the time you need for each case
- Standard 30 minute appointments allow you to educate clients, think through treatment plans, and feel confident in the care you provide.
- Most care is done in house, giving you continuity and follow through with your patients.

- Many of our technicians and staff have been here since the hospital opened. They know their work, they know our clients, and they know how to anticipate your needs.

- Dr. Smith and our team invest in building relationships with clients and their families, so when you recommend care, they know it comes from a place of understanding and respect.

We invest in your professional growth
- Dr. Smith loves to mentor, especially in surgery and behavior.
- We provide a $2,000 CE allowance annually and fully cover your licenses, association dues, and malpractice insurance.
- We use ScribbleVet so you can dictate notes and focus on patients, not paperwork.
We respect your life outside of work
- Our schedule is four days per week including alternating Saturdays.
- We start at 8:00 and end at 5:30, and we get out on time.
- We are flexible in scheduling to accommodate your personal commitments.
We give you the tools to practice high quality medicine
- In house IDEXX lab, digital whole body and dental radiography, therapy laser, surgical suite, treatment area with three tables, separate cat and small dog wards.
We make sure you are well compensated
- Compensation to $200K. No negative accrual.
- Signing bonus, $10K.
- Full medical premium covered, with plan choice through our broker.
- Flexible PTO, short term disability, licensing, membership dues, uniform allowance, pet discounts, $2500 CEU and time off, options for profit sharing, relocation support.

About Dr. Smith
Born and raised in Cypress TX, Dr. Smith is a Texas A and M graduate (DVM 2005) with a deep commitment to high level medicine and the human animal bond. She has been Fear Free Certified since 2016 and is now Elite Certified. She opened Elyson Animal Hospital to create a space where veterinarians can practice exceptional medicine and still feel part of a supportive, stable, and joyful team.
