- Member and Data Services Representative

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national not-for-profit association established in 1863 that represents over 108,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia and uniformed services, is seeking a Member and Data Services Representative to join our Membership and Field Services division located at our Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago.
Under the general direction of the Manager of Member Relations, the Member and Data Services Representative will serve as a primary point of contact in the AVMA’s Call Center. They will provide the highest level of customer service and effectively respond to inquiries and requests from members, prospective members, customers and the public, in regard to: member records, dues payments, AVMA online store orders, AVMA journal subscriptions, donations to the AVMA Political Action Committee (PAC) and American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF), and AVMA activities and policies. This position will also maintain accurate data records in the membership database; assist with membership recruitment and retention campaigns and the Enterprise Payments for large practices/organizations; and provide administrative support to the Division, as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about AVMA’s mission and highly collaborative. Additional qualifications include:
- High School Diploma is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 3-5 years’ related customer service experience is required, association experience is preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills are required
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel (format spreadsheets, utilize formulas, create charts); database experience is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with high degree of quality and accuracy; and meet multiple deadlines
- Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and/or outside normal business hours, as needed

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $50,000 - $62,000. Compensation decisions consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, business needs and organizational policies. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
