The Village Animal Clinic
The Village Animal Clinic in picturesque Voorheesville, NY, is seeking a full-time associate companion and exotic animal veterinarian.
The Village Animal Clinic is a highly respected veterinary practice that has been serving the Voorheesville community for more than 30 years. We have 8 doctors with a full support staff. Our clinic is a highly regarded, high-tech, well-established, and popular practice, with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment that makes us one of the most advanced practices in this region.
Our hospital is well-equipped with in-house hematology, chemistry, coagulation testing, ultrasound, digital radiology, (including dental,) high-speed dental equipment, endoscopy, class IV therapeutic laser, new surgical monitoring equipment, Tonovet testing, and paperless medical records. We are the only practice in the area that qualifies as "feline-friendly," with separate waiting rooms for dogs and for all other species (cats, pocket pets, birds, reptiles). If you like exotics, this is the place for you! We also see wildlife, such as eagles, hawks, porcupine to name a few.
Our support staff consists of licensed technicians and certified veterinary assistants, allowing our four veterinarians to practice more effectively. A board-certified surgeon visits our practice weekly, allowing our patients to receive the best surgical care, and a local specialty practice (only 15 minutes away) allows for quick referral to all major areas of expertise on an as-needed basis. After-hours emergencies are handled by our local emergency clinic, so no on-call hours are necessary, allowing our veterinarians the critically important "quality of life."
Since we are the Capital District's primary exotic animal hospital, our ideal candidate should have an interest in and (preferably) experience in exotic animal medicine and surgery, but this is not mandatory.
Our Doctors Enjoy:
- Competitive Compensation
- Production Bonuses
- Paid Time Off
- CE Allowance & In House CE Opportunities
- Relocation Reimbursement If Needed
- Health Benefits with Vision & Dental
- 401K with Company Match
Salary Range - $120k-$140K
